What have you done? pt2

In case you didn’t understand what I was saying about the breath of life that was breathed into the nostrils of Adam, God spoke and man became a living soul, this is the same process as by which He created the universe and EVERYTHING in it. Hebrews 11:3, Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God,… (Genesis 1:1-31).

This is what His Word does. Jesus spoke the words of His Father, and it changed those that could “hear” it. You see, there was the audible speech, with a decibel level. Then there was the Mystery of the Kingdom of God, His in audible Word, that which has no decibel level, but yet, “the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” John 6:63, It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits you nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life; and yet some could not hear that Word.

The “foolishness of preaching” in 1st Corinthians 1:21, is that which is audible, has a decibel level. The witness of men in 1st John 5:9, is that which is audible, it has a decibel level. But the Holy Spirit is searching the hearts of men to see whom He can testify to, and His testimony confirms, affirms, verifies, corroborates, gives credence to, what is being audibly spoken, if that which is audibly spoken is the work of the Spirit of truth/wisdom. THIS WAY OF GOD, TO TEACH US, HAS NOT CHANGED, IT WAS NOT ONLY FOR THE APOSTLES. It is for ALL those that believe on Jesus Christ. In fact, this is how you believe in Jesus Christ.

Look at some examples of those who could not hear the Word, John 8:37, I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. John 8:43, Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. John 8:45-47, And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.  Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?  He that is of God hears God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

There is a definite difference between our speech, specifically that which comes by our own understanding/prudence. 1st Corinthians 2:1-5, And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.  And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1st Thessalonians 2:13,  For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. See the separation that they are making between their speech and the Word of God?

This is the way God has always intended it to be, it’s just that after the fall and before Christ’s being seated in heaven, the Holy Spirit was “with” them. NOW, if you are indeed born again, God has brought you to repentance and you have received the testimony that God gave of his Son and you believe, then you have the Word engrafted IN YOU, the light has been restored, your spirit is renewed and holy. It is the flesh that must be done away with by hearing the Word of God.

Mark 4:9-20,  And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.  And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.  And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?  The sower soweth the word.  And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.  And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.  And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.  And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Look at what God told Jeremiah, Jeremiah 31:33-34, But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says the LORD, “I” will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

God was found of a Nation that sought Him not, they didn’t have Bibles to read from, nor did the Apostles read from one. 2nd Corinthians 3:1-11, Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?  You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.  And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit giveth life.  But if the ministration of death, written and engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?  For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in gloryFor even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excells.  For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remains is glorious. 1st Peter 1:25, But the Word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Those Nations that sought not after God, believed because of what God gave them to believe, the Holy Spirit wrote the truth on the hearts of those that could hear the mystery of the Kingdom of God. God’s Word, besides being alive and powerful, it is also evidential, it is, in itself, evidence of things not seen, FAITH! This is another tradition (the Greek word here means transmission) of men, that makes the Word of God of none effect. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of God. Galatians3:2, This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Which comes by the hearing of the Word of God.  How does one receive the Spirit? By hearing and believing the Word of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ, which it pleased God to do by the foolishness of preaching. Galatians 3:5, He therefore that ministers to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

He that ministers the Spirit, and works miracles among them, in this case Paul, how does he do it, by having the law in him, or by the hearing of faith, evidence/proof of things not seen, which comes by the hearing of the Word of God? Faith is NOT what you believe it to be.
